mysterious table in town
Walking through the
pedestrian area of Perth you might be astonished when seeing this
product of an artist.
It's strange that the coffe-cup has been
turned over, spilling the coffee on the floor where you can see an
arrow pointing towards, well what? Let's have a look and follow the
arrow with some steps into a small alley-way between two houses. Up
goes the arrow now and this is what you see on the dark wall:
"Air-raid shelter" is what an old
inscription says, obviously covered with plaster for a long time and
re-discovered recently. Air-raid shelter?

Why did they have an air-raid shelter in Perth, WA? Any idea? Any
interest in finding out some information on this mystery by help of
a research with search-engines? Just try it and if you find out
details, send me an email,
please! I wonder whether there is something about that on the web,
really!
It might even be a good idea to contact pupils from schools in
Perth. I bet a lot of them neither have seen this in their town nor
can they say anything about the air-raid shelter and its historic
function, maybe especially as they were not born in Perth and don't
know much about details of the history of Perth? Maybe I'm wrong.
